Early voting has started.
Here's the info.

I Voted Small.jpg

You know how everyone keeps talking about the midterm elections and how important they are?  Well the first part of the midterms are here right now!

Early in person voting has already started, and the Primary election is THIS COMING Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Did you know there was a primary coming up?

Did you know there was an election coming this year?

Hey, a lot of folks don't so we're here to give you a quick overview so you can get to the polls and know what you're doing.

WHATS THE DEAL WITH THIS ELECTION?

This is the Democratic Primary election. In this election, we are choosing which of the multiple Democrats running for each office we want to be on the ballot in the November General Election running against the Republican candidate.

WHAT OFFICES ARE WE VOTING FOR?

In this election, we're choosing the following:

  • 1 person for US Senate

  • 1 person for US House of Representatives, Congressional District 4

  • 1 person for Monmouth County Surrogate

  • 2 people for Monmouth County Commissioner

In addition, some districts will be electing county committee representatives.

HOW CAN YOU CHOOSE WHO TO VOTE FOR?

I've got good news.  You don't have to do a lot of research for this particular election. There is only ONE race on the ballot where you actually need to make a choice.  Every other race has only one person running to fill each seat, so that makes things a wee bit easier.

The race for House of Representatives Congressional District 4 is now down to only two contenders; Rachel Peace and John Blake.

For info on both candidates as well as recordings of forums and debates between them, check out our

IMPORTANT - NEW VOTING DISTRICTS THIS YEAR

Earlier this year, the voting districts in Tinton Falls were adjusted in order to balance out the number of people in each district.  Be sure to check your sample ballot to see where what your district is and where your polling locations is.

See our Redistricting Article in our Feb Newsletter for more info.

Also, check out the NJ State Database to get your polling location.

Weekly Protests Continue.
Join in and be heard.

I've gone to all three No Kings protests, and it's a great way to be heard and express your disgust with this administration, but did you know there protests happening a lot more often?

If you're like me and still need to vent, the local No Kings organizers also hold a protest EVERY SUNDAY from 2:00 to 3:00 at the corner of Asbury Ave and Green Grove Rd.  It's only an hour, but it lets people know we're still here and that they are not alone in their concerns for our democracy.

If you're interested, just show up on Sunday.  If you want to get on their mailing list to learn more about the weekly themes, send an email to nsb236@comcast.net.

Local Tinton Falls News Update

TF Logo.png

I regret that we haven't published a non-partisan newsletter in a very long time. I want to, but there's just no time.  However, there have been a few big items happening in our town so I'll quickly rattle a few of those things off here:

New Borough Administrator

Our previous borough administrator Charles Terefenko resigned earlier this year to pursue other opportunities. After a thorough search, the borough has welcomed Christopher J. Camilleri as our new borough administrator a few weeks ago.  The borough adminitrator is the person who actually manages the day to day operations of the town, so having a good is really important.

See the announcement letter for more info.

Tinton Falls To Purchase the Carney Farm for Open Space

Tinton Falls has agreed to acquire the 13 acre Carney Farm on Wayside Ave to preserve as open space.  This is absolutely a property that could have turned into a major housing development or warehouse.  See the announcement message for all the details.

Tinton Falls Community Day Scheduled for September 26

This year's community day has been scheduled for Saturday, Sept 26, 2026.  It will also be a joint America 250 celebration.  Of course, the Tinton Falls Dems will be there.  Stay tuned for ore info.
