About the Club

Like the name says, we're a club. We're a group of people with a common interest. In this case, we're Democrats from Tinton Falls who get together once a month to spend time with other like-minded people, socialize, discuss the local and political matters of the day, and see what we can do to get more Democrats elected to office. We're a really nice bunch of people. You should definitely join us.

All levels of participation welcome:

Make no mistake, we'd love for you to attend every meeting, run some events, participate in campaigns, take a leadership role, and donate lots of money, but if those were the requirements, we'd have zero members :) Life is busy, and we're happy to have you be a part of the group at any participation level.

BASIC EMAIL - The most basic membership starts just by signing up for our email list so we can send out important info. PLEASE remember to add info@tfdems.org to your address book so we don't get flagged as spam. Also, PLEASE remember to READ the emails or it's all a waste. We try not to pollute your inbox too much.
DUES PAYING - An easy step up from that is to contribute annual dues. While not required, we ask that members contribute $25.00 per year to help pay for all the various expenses, like this web site. We have no other sources of income, so this is huge if you can swing it.
MEETINGS - The next level up is just to attend our fun meetings, now being held in a restaurant with food! The meetings are a way to socialize with others in the club and to talk about what's going on in politics and also local Tinton Falls news. Plus, you get to have some food and bring your own beverages.
FULL PARTICIPATION - And finally, you can choose to participate in any number of ways, from working events, volunteering for campaigns, being a club leader, or even running for office. It's all up to you.

Our main goal is just to be in touch with as many Tinton Falls Democrats as possible and bring a sense of community to the group, and ideally make Tinton Falls a solidly blue town in an otherwise seriously red county.

We order off the menu and split the check based on what you ordered.

Maurizio's is also a Bring you own Beer and Wine restaurant, so plan to bring your own beer or wine. It helps make the political discussion easier.

ALSO - REMOTE ACCESS IS NOW ONLY BY REQUEST

We're not going to jump through the hoops of doing a remote meeting unless someone actually wants to attend that way, so if you want to be there but can't, please contact us in advance so we can set up the zoom.

Other Democratic organizations in the town - The Democratic Committee:

While the club tends to be fairly casual and available to the public, there is a group of Democrats in Tinton Falls that are actually part of the National Democratic Party infrastructure. That group is the Democratic County Committee. Committee members are elected officials that are voted on every two years during the Democratic Primary elections in June. Each of Tinton Falls' 15 voting districts elects two committee members. That means we have 30 members of the committee when all the seats are full. These people participate in county conventions and vote to endorse candidates running in primaries.
